Moodmark is a visual bookmark manager for designers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who processes it. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Account details — your email address and name, handled by our authentication provider.
- What you save — the URLs, page titles, screenshots, color palettes, detected fonts, notes, and tags of the sites you bookmark.
- Usage data — only if you allow analytics cookies: pages viewed, clicks, and how the product is used, measured with Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Without your consent, only anonymous, cookie-free page counts. No tracking across other sites.
The Chrome extension
When you click the Moodmark extension, it reads the current tab (its URL, title, and a screenshot) and the fonts, colors and technology used on that page — only that page, only when you click it. It does not track your browsing.
Who processes your data
- Clerk — authentication (sign-in, your account).
- Cloudflare — hosting and privacy-friendly analytics.
- Bunny.net — database and screenshot storage.
- OpenAI — a saved screenshot is sent to OpenAI to suggest tags. It is used only to generate suggestions for you.
- Google — Google Analytics 4, only if you allow analytics cookies.
- Microsoft — Microsoft Clarity (usage analytics and session recordings), only if you allow analytics cookies.
Analytics and cookies
We use analytics cookies only with your consent. When you choose Allow in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load on moodmark.design and app.moodmark.design. They measure visits and show how Moodmark is used, and Clarity can record how a page is used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement), with sensitive input fields masked. If you choose Decline, or make no choice, neither of them loads.
Your choice is stored for 12 months in a cookie named mm_consent and applies to both sites. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings in the footer or in the app’s settings. Cloudflare counts page views without cookies, and signing in uses cookies from Clerk that are necessary for your account to work.
What we don’t do
We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use your saved references for anything other than showing them back to you and to the people you explicitly share a collection with.
Your control
You can delete any bookmark or your whole account at any time. Deleting your account removes your saved data. Public collections are only visible when you choose to share them.
